RESET 👉 Forget your DEI policy, focus on inclusive behaviour 👇

Updated: Sep 12, 2025

Seven years of supporting companies in diversity, equity and inclusion today. What a privilege. Thank You for sharing your confidence, your trust and your journey. Looking back, what stands out in this journey?

From intentions to policies

Every single company I worked for in the past years towards more inclusive leadership and company culture has one by now. A formal DEI policy. Or a charter. Or a code of conduct.

Sticking to the plan

You have made a policy or a plan. I do hope you have not abandoned it in the past 6 months. Maybe you've rephrased and rewritten it a bit. The question still remains the same. What are you going to do with the plan?

The real work is in the execution

It's the everyday actions that truly shape inclusive cultures.

In hallway conversations, meetings, feedback, and decision-making. How your team members interact on a daily basis. How they manage to connect across their differences.

Focus on inclusive behaviour

As long as you don't translate a policy into actionable behaviour, nothing changes. When you get back to the busy rythm of September, focus on that behaviour. First, identify what behaviour you want. Then, give your team the tools to adapt their own and confront others to make this a collective effort. People are not robots.

Inclusive leaders set the example

As a leader, make sure every person in your team knows what inclusive behaviour means on a day-to-day basis. Dare to identify the confusion or frustrating situations that are part of normal work life. And then decide, collectively, what behaviour you expect. Spread the word, and repeat it often. And measure and adapt behaviour where needed.

Repeat

It's not rocket science.

But working towards a more inclusive workplace does take time, effort, planning and courage. I am here to help you, based on best practices at other companies.

Give me a call to learn more about my 3 step approach to more inclusive daily behaviour in your organisation.

Everyday is a new opportunity to see, hear and act to make your workplace more inclusive. Join me today in making it happen.
