When I say 50+, you say....

Too old and too expensive?

Or wise and experienced?

Is the cliché about over-50s in the job market true? Do you know what people in the final stages of their careers want in your organization? Are they more or less happy in their jobs? Are they burned out or looking for a new adventure?

Are you tapping into all their talents, experience, and wisdom?

Have you ever asked them what they really want?

Last December, I was a guest on this topic at Linda Cappelle's launch event at The Table with Bright Plus , CEO of Bright Plus. She presented her new book in the TV studio where Gert's "Tafeel" is being recorded.

"High Five for Work-Life" is the title of Linda's book. It's about how to keep work fun, together with your colleagues. What exactly does that mean when you reach the "High Five" age yourself?

Never before have so many people over 50 been working. Has your organization considered how to best utilize this wealth of experience, knowledge, and wisdom?

It all starts with asking the right questions.

👉 What if organizations asked all employees how they wanted to spend the third quarter of their career?

👉 How do we safeguard the experience, wisdom, and knowledge of people in their 'third quarter'?

👉 Why it's important to address intergenerational frustrations and how to deal with them.

These are just a few of the questions discussed. The answers are summarized in this 1- minute video . You can also put them on the agenda in your organization. Because that, too, is working towards an inclusive culture.
