If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
This African proverb is more relevant then ever, don't you think?
The complex challenges our organisations face are rarely solved by doing it all on your own. Strategic alliances are clearly on the rise. They have become important engines of growth in business and important drivers for societal change in non-profit organisations.
You probably have to work with partners for certain projects at work, right?
They may be internal stakeholders or they may be external partners, like clients, governments, regulators, influencers, etc.
What's your biggest frustration in a partnership project or stakeholder alliance?
I am guessing you disagree on objectives.
Or you don't really trust each other.
Open communication is lacking.
Or not everyone is fully engaged for the project.
You keep on questioning what it is the alliance should deliver.
Or you feel that you don't have the right people around the table.
There's no real budget to manage the partnership.
Or they may be power imbalances.
Sounds familiar?
Well, you are not the only one.
Here's a little secret.
After 30 years of designing, creating and managing stakeholder alliances, I discovered one simple truth.
Strategic partnerships only work when they are set up as communities.
And it's up to you to change the dynamics. Yes, you. Why not?

What that means and how you get there?
I will tell you all about it over coffee or a call.
